Davao minimum wage rates (2026)
Wage Order RB XI-24 took effect on 13 March 2026 and raised wages in two tranches:
| Sector | Before (RB XI-23) | 1st tranche (13 Mar 2026) | 2nd tranche (1 Sep 2026, current) | Hourly (÷ 8) |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Non-agriculture | ₱510 | ₱525 | ₱540 | ₱67.50 |
| Agriculture | ₱505 | ₱515 | ₱525 | ₱65.63 |
The order applies to all private-sector minimum wage earners in the region regardless of position, designation, status or method of payment, and its rates are for the normal working hours of no more than 8 a day.
Covered areas: the cities of Davao, Digos, Island Garden City of Samal, Mati, Panabo and Tagum, and the provinces of Davao de Oro (Compostela Valley), Davao del Norte, Davao Oriental and Davao del Sur. The wage board approved the order on 19 February 2026 and it was published in SunStar Davao on 25 February.
Monthly equivalent
Minimum-wage earners are paid daily, so the monthly figure depends on how many days you are paid for. Gross figures:
| Daily rate | 22 days | 26 days | 261-day factor ÷ 12 | 313-day factor ÷ 12 |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| ₱540 | ₱11,880 | ₱14,040 | ₱11,745.00 | ₱14,085.00 |
| ₱525 | ₱11,550 | ₱13,650 | ₱11,418.75 | ₱13,693.75 |
Statutory minimum-wage earners are exempt from income tax on their minimum wage and on their holiday, overtime, night differential and hazard pay.
Overtime and holiday pay at ₱540 a day
With an hourly rate of ₱540 ÷ 8 = ₱67.50:
- Ordinary-day overtime: ₱67.50 × 1.25 = ₱84.38 per hour
- Rest day or special non-working day, 8 hours: ₱540 × 130% = ₱702.00
- Regular holiday, 8 hours: ₱540 × 200% = ₱1,080.00
- Regular holiday not worked: ₱540.00 (if present or on paid leave the day before)
